What we do at Jesmond Park Uniting Church
We are a congregation with a lively and creative mix of ages, nationalities and personalities.
As Jesus shared the hospitality of God toward humankind, so we embody God’s hospitality with all.
At JPUC we engage in the life of the church by coming together to listen, tell, show and do. We spend enjoyable and meaningful times together. Our understanding of the Bible, our God, our faith and ourselves grow as we listen, read, discuss, share, question, struggle, create, contemplate, understand and quietly be. Through the sharing of God’s love we are inspired, motivated, engaged, comforted and welcomed.
When we get together, have fun together, learn about each other and give our time to help where there is a need, barriers come down, bonds are formed and strengthened and our lives are richer – God’s love shared. Everyone is welcome.
Social Justice and the Environment
Jesmond Park Uniting Church endorses and supports the position of the Uniting Church in Australia on Social Justice issues and those relating to the mismanagement and destruction of natural resources and human-induced climate change. As an expression of our faith, we become informed, join other voices for justice in the community, and participate in activities and forums that raise awareness and advocate for change.
